I’m going to divide our options into categories based on design intent – meaning: what type of activity the short was designed for – and then discuss other factors such as length and rise. With so many factors to consider, it can be tough to know where to start when shopping for lululemon workout shorts. Are you looking for a traditional athletic short or something more tight-to-the-body, like a biker short? How short are you comfortable going? Would you prefer a high-rise short or a more traditional medium-rise? Do you want something for a HIIT class, yoga class or a pair of shorts just to kick it around town or at the house? You’ll have to ask yourself a few questions to narrow down your options. There are a couple big factors to consider here – length (aka inseam) and fit. For my height, 2.5″ looks the best and I prefer high rise.īelow left to right you can see them in 4″ mid rise Ripened Raspberry in size 4, size 6, 2.5″ low rise size 6. Out of all of the shorts, the high rise 2.5″ is my favorite. For the low rise and high rise 2.5″, I found the 6 fit best, which is 1 size bigger than my legging size 4. Okay here is where it got tricky for me! For the mid rise 4″ shorts, the 6 was too baggy and the 4 was too tight around the butt, even though it fit much better in the leg. I frequently wear these to run errands since they are easy to throw on! They have a built in liner, so there’s no need to worry about anything showing during a workout class! Speed Up Shorts Sizing I love wearing these casually and to the gym. These shorts are the perfect lightweight material that can withstand a heavy workout or run.
